Burrow & Bloom Botanical Gin
A limited edition Australian gin inspired by the desert landscapes of the Easter Bilby
Burrow & Bloom is a limited-run collaboration between BY.ARTISANS and Australian Wildlife Conservancy, created to support the conservation of the Greater Bilby, one of Australia's most iconic and threatened native mammals.
Released for Easter, this gin reimagines the tradtional Easter Bunny as the Easter Bilby, directing seasonal celebration towards tangible conservation outcomes.
Dry, savoury and distinctly Australian, this gin reflects the arid environments bilbies depend on, while directly supporting conservation work across AWC sanctuaries.
Each bottle of Burrow & Bloom contributes $48 to Australian Wildlife Conservancy, supporting bilby conservation and habitat protection across AWC sanctuaries.
Burrow & Bloom brings together BY.ARTISANS’ commitment to small-batch distillation, native botanicals and low-waste production with AWC’s science-led, landscape-scale conservation work.
Every bottle tells a story of Australia’s deserts and helps protect them.

Why the Bilby Matters
Once widespread across Australia, the Greater Bilby now survives in fragmented landscapes due to habitat loss and introduced predators, particularly feral cats. Fewer than an estimated 10,000 bilbies remain in the wild today.
AWC protects the largest collective population of bilbies in the world, managing predator-free sanctuaries across New South Wales, Western Australia, South Australia and Central Australia. These landscapes, shaped by heat, drought and resilience, are the inspiration behind Burrow & Bloom.

"Australia faces a significant challenge to restore our native species and landscapes and this challenge requires partnership across the spectrum of business, government, First Nations communities and the conservation sector to build scale and engagement from the public. The Bilby is a special Australian species that brings joy to many, particularly during the Easter period. We’re delighted to have the opportunity to celebrate this native species and highlight the value of Australia’s Easter Bilby."
Tim Allard, AWC Chief Executive
Additional Information
Partnership structure
Burrow & Bloom is produced in collaboration with Australian Wildlife Conservancy as a structured partnership. For each bottle sold, $48 is paid to AWC, supporting conservation and habitat protection across their sanctuaries.
It ensures the partnership is transparent, compliant with Australian tax and consumer law, and focused on measurable impact.
How funds are transferred
At the conclusion of the pre-order period, BY.ARTISANS will reconcile total bottle sales and remit an amount calculated as $48 x total number of bottles sold, to AWC following receipt of an invoice. Funds are transferred directly to AWC and allocated to their conservation programs in line with the partnership agreement.
Production and sustainability
Burrow & Bloom is produced only after the pre-order period closes on 12 April 2026. This approach avoids overproduction and waste, ensuring bottles are made specifically to meet demand rather than speculative volume.
A maximum of 1,000 bottles will be produced as part of this release. Once the release is complete, no additional bottles will be made.
Delivery and collection
Bottles are expected to be ready for dispatch or collection from approximately 1 May 2026. Customers will receive confirmation once production is complete and orders are ready to ship or collect.
Important note on tax deductibility
The purchase of Burrow & Bloom gin is not tax-deductible for customers. If customers wish to make a tax-deductible donation, this must be done directly with Australian Wildlife Conservancy.
